It's June 1!
Wow. So, I'm pretty much a lazy bum who doens't post on her missions blog very often. Sorry, y'all. I'll try to set aside one or two evenings a week to post here. Then when I'm gone, I'll TRY (empahsis on the whole--not for sure part) to post every other day or so. We don't want a fiasco like last year, no? hahaha.
Anyway. Things are going great. Working at the office is good, great, awesome, wonderful--take your pick. I'm working on the devotional book/journal/everything book for the ZOEGirl Missions participants. It is seriously an amazingly fun job. I enjoy it a whole bunch. During my other time, I'm testing speakers and mics, filing, making lists, revising the lists, going through the tech box to take inventory of all of the things we have and all of the things we need, etc.
Oh yeah--I almost forgot the best part. Friday I was working in the back with the sound boxes pretty much all day. While going through last years tech box (sound equiptment, supplies, etc) I found a Kat costume for the drama that teams perform on the trip and I totally dressed up like a Kat all day long. It was hilariously fun. But seriously--we work hard, so dressing up like a kat is a well-deserved escape from it all. :-D
So--I have a ginormous praise report. (Or two or three). 1) I got 2 checks in the mail yesterday, totaling $165. 2) Some family friends stepped in to "save the day" today and wrote me a check for $200 to help me out. 3) I supposedly have more money coming from some random and secret source. If all goes according to plan (of course my plans might change in order to fit into God's plans) then I will have half of the $1500 that I need to cover my spot in Ecuador. I'm amazingly excited. With that in mind, don't stop praying, please about my finances. Things are good, but I still have a ways to go--but my God is an on time God and I know that He will provide...Agreeing with me on this issue, though would help keep my stress level down alot though. I can't just sit back and wait--that's not me...even if all I can do is pray, well that's better than nothing.
Thank you all so much for enocouraging me and supporting me. If it weren't for my friends and family I wouldn't be where I am today. You touch my life in ways that words can't describe and I thank you for that. I love you. Good night.
